Who may receive zakah
The eight categories in the Quran, Surat at-Tawbah 9:60. Zakah may not be given to your parents or grandparents, your children or grandchildren, or your spouse. Give it to the person or to a trusted body that distributes it, and give it with the intention of zakah.
